BookCourier Quick Reference
Version 1.2, January 2006
Keypad Layout and Functions
Because BookCourier has so many features, each key has two or three functions.
Wherever possible, we’ve tried to group these functions in an intuitive manner
so that it’s easy to remember which features share a key. To use a key’s main
function, you simply press and release the key. To use a key’s secondary
function, you press and hold the key until you hear a beep and then you release
it. BookCourier also has a shift key that you can press at the same time as
another key to access a third function for that key. The shift key, also called
the plus key, is the middle key in the bottom row. Like the 5 key, the shift key
has a concave surface to help you locate it easily. The following table shows
all the functions for every key on the keypad.

BookCourier Functions by Subject Area
This section groups all the BookCourier functions by subject area so you can
quickly find the keys to perform a certain type of function. The subject
areas are listed alphabetically with the exception of the General or
miscellaneous functions which appear first. To help you find the functions more
easily, we've listed some functions in more than one subject area. Remember that
each key has up to three different functions: the main function, the secondary
function which you activate by pressing and holding the key until you hear a
beep, and the third function which you activate by simultaneously pressing the
key and the Shift key (the middle key in the bottom row).
